User Guide

Everything you need to get the most out of GoNao — from booking your first appointment to running your business.

Getting Started

Create an account

Download GoNao, open the app, and tap Sign Up. Enter your name, email address, and a password. Tap Create Account and you're in — no email verification or phone number required to get started.

Sign in

Already have an account? Tap Sign In on the welcome screen and enter your email and password.

Set up your profile (optional)

Tap the avatar icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen to open your profile. Tap Edit to add your phone number and home address. Your home address pre-fills automatically when you book mobile (at-home) services.

Delete your account

To permanently delete your account, go to Profile, tap Settings, then tap Delete Account and follow the prompts. Your personal information is removed within 30 days. Appointment records are anonymized to preserve business booking history. If you own a business, it will be deactivated and all future appointments cancelled at the same time.

Finding a Business

Home feed

The Home screen shows nearby businesses ranked by the GoNao algorithm by default — the best available option near you is always at the top, marked with a ⚡ GoNao Pick badge. Use the Filter button to narrow results by category, distance, or sort order.

Filter and sort

Tap the Filter button in the toolbar (top of the home feed) to open the filter sheet. From here you can search by business name, enter a city or ZIP code to find businesses nearby, filter by category, and sort results. Active filters are shown as a count badge on the Filter button. Tap Clear to reset.

Sort businesses

Inside the Filter sheet, the Sort row lets you choose how results are ranked. GoNao (default) uses our proprietary algorithm to surface the best match near you — weighing proximity, verified review quality, and availability. Nearest shows the closest businesses first. Top Rated ranks by highest rating. Your sort preference is remembered until you clear filters.

Switch to map view

Use the list/map toggle in the toolbar to switch to map view. In map view, tap any pin to see that business's card. Tap the card to go to the booking screen.

Booking an Appointment

1. Tap a business card

From the Home or Nearby screen, tap any business card to open its booking screen. You'll see the full service menu, available staff, and reviews.

2. Select a service

Browse the service list. If the business uses categories, tap a tab at the top to filter. Each service shows its name, description, duration, and price. A promo badge appears if a discount is active. A BUNDLE badge means it's a package deal. Tap a service to select it — a checkmark confirms your selection.

3. Choose a staff member (optional)

If the business has staff profiles, a row of chips appears below the service list. Tap a name to request that specific provider, or leave it as No Preference to be matched automatically.

4. Pick a date

Swipe through the 14-day date strip. Tomorrow is always the first available option.

5. Pick a time slot

Available times appear as pill buttons. Greyed-out slots are already booked or outside working hours. Tap an available slot to select it. If there are no slots on a date, try a different date or staff member.

6. Answer intake questions (if required)

Some services ask pre-appointment questions — allergies, preferences, service-specific details, etc. Required questions are marked with a red asterisk. Answer all required questions before the booking button activates. Answers are stored with your appointment so the provider is prepared.

7. Service location (mobile businesses)

Businesses that offer mobile services (they come to you) will ask where the service should take place. Choose I'll come to you (storefront) or Come to me (mobile). If you choose mobile, enter your service address. If you've saved a home address in your profile, it pre-fills automatically.

8. Review the booking summary

A summary card shows the service, price (with any discount), staff member, date, and time. If a deposit is required or a cancellation fee applies, that's shown here too.

9. Submit your booking

Tap Request Booking to submit. You'll see a confirmation message. The business will review and confirm your request — you'll receive a push notification when it's approved. Some businesses auto-approve bookings, so confirmation may be instant.

Payments

How payment works

GoNao does not process payments. Each business sets its own payment method — Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp. Their payment info is shown on the booking page before you confirm, so you always know how and when to pay.

Deposits

Some services require a deposit to hold your appointment. The deposit amount is shown on the booking summary before you confirm. Arrange the deposit payment directly with the business via their listed method.

Cancellation fees

Some businesses charge a fee if you cancel within a certain window (e.g. less than 24 hours before). The policy and fee amount are shown on the booking summary before you confirm — you're never surprised after the fact.

Refunds

Refund policies are set by each business. If you need a refund, contact the business directly. If you can't resolve a dispute, use our contact form and we'll help.

Managing Appointments

View your appointments

Tap the Appointments tab (calendar icon) in the bottom navigation. Your bookings are split into Upcoming and Past tabs. Upcoming shows confirmed and pending appointments grouped by date. Past shows completed and cancelled history.

Cancel an appointment

Open an upcoming appointment and tap Cancel Appointment. Cancellation policies vary by business — if you're within the cancellation window, a fee may apply. The policy is always shown before you confirm a booking.

Request a reschedule

Tap the calendar icon on any upcoming appointment to request a new date and time. Pick a new date, staff member, and slot, then submit. The business will approve or reject the request. You'll get a push notification either way.

Leave a review

Once an appointment is fully completed (after the service end time), a star icon appears on that appointment card in the Past tab. Tap it to rate the business from 1–5 stars and leave an optional written comment. You can only review a business once. After a completed appointment you'll also receive an in-app notification prompting you to leave a review.

Notifications

What notifications does GoNao send?

GoNao sends in-app and push notifications for: booking confirmed or cancelled, 24-hour and 1-hour reminders before your appointment, reschedule approved or rejected, payment requested by the business, waitlist availability when a slot opens up, and a review reminder after each completed appointment.

Notifications tab

Tap the Notifications tab (bell icon) to see all your in-app notifications. A badge on the tab shows your unread count. Tap Mark all read to clear the badge. Tapping a notification takes you directly to the relevant appointment or screen.

Business notifications

If you own a business, notifications for new bookings, cancellations, and reschedule requests are labelled with a BUSINESS badge in your notification list and tap directly through to your Business Appointments screen.

Turning off notifications

You can disable GoNao push notifications at any time in your device settings. On iPhone: Settings → GoNao → Notifications. On Android: Settings → Apps → GoNao → Notifications.

For Business Owners

List your business

Tap the avatar icon to open your Profile, then tap List Your Business. The onboarding flow walks you through your business name, category, address, working hours, service type (storefront, mobile, or both), and payment info. You'll appear in the GoNao feed as soon as you finish.

Your business quick-access view

When you tap your own business listing from the Home screen, GoNao shows a business owner view instead of the customer booking flow. From here you can jump directly to Appointments, Services, Edit Business details, and Share & QR Code — all in one tap.

Manage your business from Profile

Your Profile tab has a Manage Businesses row. Tap it to see all your businesses, then tap any listing to open its dashboard — where you can access Edit Details, Services, Appointments, Share & QR Code, and plan-gated features like Analytics and Customer Notes.

Online / Offline toggle

Each business dashboard has an Online/Offline toggle in the header. Flip it to Offline to pause all new bookings instantly — useful for holidays, emergencies, or days off. Flip it back to Online when you're ready to accept bookings again.

Manage appointments

Tap Appointments to see all incoming bookings in an Upcoming / Past view. From here you can confirm pending bookings, cancel, approve or reject reschedule requests, and mark appointments as paid once you've received payment.

Add and edit services

Tap Services to manage your service menu. For each service you can set the name, description, duration, buffer/cleanup time, price type (fixed, starting from, or range), deposit requirement, and whether the service needs manual approval.

Share your booking link & QR code

Tap Share & QR Code from your business quick-access view, or tap the QR icon in the top-right of Business Details. A sheet slides up showing your unique QR code and booking link. Tap Share Link to send it via iMessage, WhatsApp, email, or any app. Customers who tap the link and have GoNao installed are taken straight to your booking screen. Screenshot the QR code to print on business cards, receipts, or your website.

Customer reviews

Customers can leave a star rating and written review for your business after a completed appointment. Reviews appear on your business profile and are visible to all GoNao users. Your overall rating and review count are shown on your listing card in the Home feed.

Subscription plans

GoNao offers a free plan with unlimited bookings, up to 5 services, and 1 staff profile. Paid plans (coming soon) will unlock Analytics, Customer Notes, Blocked Dates, staff management, group bookings, promo tools, and more. Tap Plans & Pricing in your Profile to see what's coming.
